This is the first major event of the Land Rover show season and the weather was fabulous. Lots of stalls, auto-jumbles and plenty of activities including the usual off-road course and a mini course for children in little electric 4x4s.

RNE ran our stall next to Hull & Yorks Response which proved very effective as we could re-direct anyone who lived in the Yorkshire area to their stall and vice-versa. Our aim at Driffield is not so much to attract new members as it is out of our catchment area but more to present a network image with Hull & Yorks.

This was done very effectively and what was even more impressive was seeing just how many members of our organization were at the event either working our stall or a range of other stalls including 4x4uk, northtyne4x4, the DOC and the DTC from LRBoards, this was evidence that our membership is growing.

The arena compere gave RNE a lot of publicity over the weekend and talked about all the good work the Response network is doing as a whole. Our very own Blackcamel won the twist-off with his fabulous modded 90 and also won a club prize in the best modded section (well done Scott!).

Thanks go to Dave for the loan of his caravan and awning as a base once again and to everyone else who was able to provide their support over the weekend.
