Full membership to 4x4RNE is available to any adult over the age 21 who has access to a fully insured and road legal 4x4 vehicle. This vehicle must be a conventional on/off road type. They can be modified but must be road legal and tested. Stringent vehicle checks will be made by the 4x4RNE committee before membership is confirmed. Membership is given on a probationary period of 6 months after which, the committee will decide if full membership is granted.

Full members must attend certain training courses including driver training both on and off road. Full members can expect to be "on-call" at least once every 10 days for a period of 24 hours. They may be called upon at other times if an emergency situation arises.

Full members have the right to vote at all meetings, by proxy or in person. Full members can be elected to hold any committee of office bearer positions.

The committee in the full has the right to terminate or reduce any membership to 4x4RNE if they feel that the member is likely to disrupt the smooth running of the group or acts in a way that could jeopardise the safety of other members.

The current full membership fee payable on joining is £18.00 per annum.

Associate Membership

Associate memberships of 4x4RNE are available to persons over the age of 16 who have an interest in what 4x4RNE stands for.

Associate members can train alongside the full members. They can also help at 4x4RNE events and can attend meetings.

Associate members can vote in person only but cannot hold office or committee roles.

The committee in full has the right to terminate any associate membership to 4x4RNE if they feel that the member is likely to disrupt the smooth running of the group or acts in a way that could jeopardise the safety of the members.

The current associate membership fee payable on joining is £10.00 per annum.
