...is this due to insurance or another reason?

I ask, as I am keen to join and help out in my own vehicle, but I'm 18.

Also, there seem to be very few members in the south of the region (Teesside etc...), which is where I am, so would I really be that useful...?

Hi Bob, thankds for jioning us here on the forum...and thanks for asking this question.

Age limits are indead due to Insurance requirements, however.....as yo may have noticed the web site is a few years out of date and currently undergoing a revamp. The age limit was lowered soem years ago now but I can't remember of the top of my head to what, I shall check asap and post for you, but I'm reasonably sure that at 18 you can be a full member.

We need more members from all areas of the North East and in particular Teesside. Would you be able to get along to the meeting at the Lazenby club on 25/01/10 from 7:30pm?

If not we can organise to meet you at another time or send you some information...let us know what is convenient for you....?

And what do you drive Bob? we have mainly landrovers of various kinds but there are a few Japaese marques too...

Nigel.

I drive a Land Rover 90 with a reasonable amount of kit on and in it. (mostly surplus to requirement: winch, snorkel etc...). I doubt I'd get to any meeting at the moment as I'm in the midst of replacing a front wing and have no access to another vehicle. But as soon as I'm done, I'd probably be able to get to the next meeting...
